It all started with a passion for adventure, sustainability, and the finest French wines. Matthieu, Grain de Sail’s in-house sommelier, and Pierre, the export manager, were inspired by a dream to not only bring premium, biodynamic wines to the U.S. but to do so in a way that connected with their deep values—environmental responsibility and creating a unique, curated experience for wine lovers.
The idea was born during one of their many sea voyages aboard Grain de Sail’s innovative cargo sailboat, which transports organic coffee, chocolate, and wines across the Atlantic. Their journeys across the ocean solidified a vision: to build a community of wine enthusiasts who share their commitment to sustainability and quality, all while supporting traditional sailing methods that reduce the carbon footprint.
From these voyages and countless tastings, the Wholesale Wine Club was created—a space where exclusive, natural wines are curated directly by Matthieu and his team.
